# AgenticBooks > AgenticBooks (agenticbooks.ai) is agent-native bookkeeping infrastructure for startups and AI agents. It connects read-only to a company's payment and banking sources, classifies every transaction into double-entry books as it lands, holds anything uncertain for human review instead of guessing, and exposes the books to AI agents over MCP. One flat price: $20 per organization per month, first month free, no card required. ## Key facts - What it does: continuous bookkeeping. Transactions are classified and posted as they arrive, so the P&L, balance sheet and general ledger are always current. There is no month-end assembly. - What it is not: books only. AgenticBooks does not file taxes, run payroll, or replace an accountant. Classified, approved transactions sync to the ledger the accountant already uses (QuickBooks). - Sources: Stripe and RevenueCat for payments; Mercury and Meow for US banking; Revolut, Wise and 1,500+ European banks across 29 countries via Open Banking (Enable Banking, PSD2, EEA). - Custody: every connection is read-only and scoped to balances and transactions. AgenticBooks cannot send, transfer, or pay. Credentials are encrypted at rest and never logged or returned. - Review queue: when the classifier is not confident, the transaction is held with full context and a suggested category. It stays out of the P&L until a human approves, and the approval records who decided and why. - Receipt capture: forward any receipt or invoice to the organization's own receipts email address. AI extracts vendor, total, currency, date and invoice number, matches it to the bank charge, and attaches it as evidence on the ledger line. Nothing is attached on a guess. - Multi-currency: revenue and balances are converted to one base currency, with realized and unrealized FX gains and losses handled. - Audit trail: append-only. Every classification, approval, and sync is recorded with actor, reason, and timestamp, and every ledger line links back to its source event. - Pricing: $20 per organization per month, first month free, no card required. No seats, no per-agent fees, no usage charges. One organization is one company and its books. - AI agents: an agent can open an account, connect sources, and read and operate the books over MCP. MCP endpoint: https://mcp.agenticbooks.ai/mcp (streamable HTTP). Auth is an `ab_` API key sent as a Bearer token, or OAuth from the connector flow. Listed in the official MCP Registry as ai.agenticbooks/books. - Agent-initiated signup: POST https://api.agenticbooks.ai/agent/signup starts a handshake. The human approves one email link with a code, and the agent polls to collect its own key. Full runbook at https://www.agenticbooks.ai/skills.md. - CLI: `npm install -g agenticbooks`, then `agenticbooks login`, `agenticbooks connect mercury`, `agenticbooks status`. - Data: receipt files are stored encrypted in the EU. Receipt extraction is processed by Anthropic outside the EU under contractual safeguards. - App: https://app.agenticbooks.ai. Contact: https://www.agenticbooks.ai/contact.
